So, it’s FINALLY winter here in Southern California.  The temps have dipped below 80 and the winds are in full force.  With the shift in weather, our house is typically plagued with two things: dry skin and preschool germs.  I’ve rounded up a few of my favorite products for surviving both!

Derma E Anti-Wrinkle Scrub – My skin is dry year-round, but in the cold, windy months, it really takes a hit.  This gentle scrub sloughs off all the dry, dead skin while leaving any natural moisture behind.  I love how my skin feels afterward and notice that my moisturizers and makeup apply much more smoothly!

Briogeo Scalp Revival – I was turned onto this brand a few years ago when I received a sample in an Ipsy bag, and I’ve loved them ever since.  They offer products that are new, interesting, and hard to find elsewhere.  This scalp treatment is one of my absolute favorites.  It’s a light, non-greasy oil treatment infused with charcoal and tea tree oil so it penetrates deeply and leaves my scalp moisturized, refreshed, and flake free.

IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Illumination Concealer – I’m on my third tube of this miracle concealer, and I don’t often buy repeat cosmetics.  This stuff is legit.  It goes on smoothly, covers circles effortlessly and leaves me looking like I got a full night of sleep (even when the 2 yr old is on three solid weeks of 5am wake ups!).  The “Light” is fair enough for my porcelain skin, and never creases or looks obvious.  A total unicorn.

Braun No Touch + Forehead Thermometer– With a 2 and a 4 year old, our house is pretty much a petri dish of preschool germs.  That means a lot of runny noses and checking for fevers.  Our old thermometer used to give inconsistent readings, making my Mommy Anxiety soar.  But this thermometer is easy to use, super fast, and incredibly accurate.  It even has a light sensor so you know exactly where to point it, plus a color coded screen to help ease your mind when your little one isn’t feeling so hot (or is – get it?).  I can see this thing getting a ton of use over the next few months!

Smashbox X-Rated Mascara – If you know me at all, you know I’m obsessed with mascara.  No joke, I have over 40 mascaras in my cupboard to try out.  I’m constantly buying them, evaluating them, and moving on to the next one in an effort to find my favorite.  For years now, my favorite has been L’Oreal Voluminous (intense, inky black and super affordable!), but I’ve moved her to runner up ever since discovering X-Rated.  It has a smooth formula that never clumps, wide bristles that help separate and define my lashes, and it doesn’t budge, even after a workout.  I recommend it to everyone!

L’Occitane Dry Skin Foot Cream – There are approximately 2,338,393,987 foot creams on the market (maybe a slight exaggeration, but probably not by much), but nothing transforms my dry heels like this one.  It’s rich and velvety, sinks in quickly, and gives my feet the therapy they need this time of year.  Slap it on your feet, throw on some cozy socks before bed, and you’ll wake up to baby soft feet.

I’m still on the search for 2 product recommendations!  A bronzer for my super pale skin that will warm me up without looking orange, streaky or disco ball-y.  And a curl cream for my 2 year old.  She has a curly mop of fine hair and everything I try either leaves it flat or too fluffy.  Anything you love that I could try out??
